OYO Hotel Durham West Hills

Sometimes you find something that is exactly what you want, no more, no less. This motel is located in a very inconspicuous, out of the way spot that is provides fast access to both Durham and Chapel Hill. It is not glamorous, but the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The live-in manager and his wife are very friendly people and their concern for their guests stay is genuine. You will get a clean, comfortable room that is absolutely free of any pests. It will be safe, management does not tolerate any sketchy behavior. It is quiet, the rooms provide more isolation from other guests than most more expensive motels. And it will be very affordable. A terrific value!

Quiet, clean, inexpensive, no frills. Feels aged but not dirty. Pleasant interactions at the desk when checking in/out. I'll definitely be back next time I come through town.

Over all the service was great, the room was cleaner than I expected. It was nice and quiet as well. Only issue I have is my security deposit has still not been refunded yet.

Just checked in and so far so good. As an over the road contractor; for my lodging needs, this a 5 star motel. Had a very professional exchange upon check in with the GM Chad. It's obvious they're consistently making improvements and updates to the overall property. With that said, these are economy accommodations so don't set yourself up thinking it's a 20 year old or newer property. Don't be an incorrigible and you'll get your required deposit back in a timely manner.

Location is convenient and the rooms are basic but clean and management is nice, I've stayed there three or four times now the biggest problem I have is the oil app slow clumsy

Very accommodating staff and quiet location. I needed a good room for 2 to 3 days to sit with my laptop and reconcile business billings. They offered to print documents from a thumb drive I had and I really give them 5 stars for being so helpful. Ultimately I moved to a location hotel closer to downtown to just be able to walk the charming and beautiful town of Durham. I also was editing some sports writing for NFL playoffs and chose to sit among fans watching the local team.

The rooms do not look like the pictures but still it was clean and a nice place to sleep. Very quiet and off the main road. Our sink doors were broken but not a big deal. There is no shampoo in the room. Staff was super nice and helpful especially when our room wasn't ready at the time specified. Only a few miles to downtown. Overall great stay!

I like the location -even if its not in the middle of shopping, restaurants n etc- close enough driving-wise to get what and where you need; it means there's not a lot of noise amd bustle but also isn't expensive gas-wise to get to and from. Older building like I remember from traveling as a kid with my parents, but decently well kept and maintained by staff and management. Neat and clean, staff was friendly and personable by my measurement, decent rooms and price was nice as is and thru one of the booking sites. There is a $100 refundable incidental fee that isn't disclosed on any of the booking sites, I didn't have any issues with receiving mine back.
